Why we built Clear About Us: important conversations without pressure

People often talk about love while postponing specific questions about money, children, roles, boundaries, and the future. We are building a calmer place to begin.

The hard question

Which topic is hardest for you to start discussing with a partner?

Not a test of the “right couple”

Clear About Us does not score a relationship or decide who is right. Two people answer the same questions separately, then see where they align and what may deserve a conversation.

Different answers do not automatically mean incompatibility. Sometimes they reveal that shared words—such as family, support, or fairness—carry different meanings for each partner.

Why answers stay hidden at first

When a partner’s answer is not visible in advance, there is less pressure to guess the acceptable position or adapt an answer. After both finish, the couple chooses whether to reveal individual answers or view only a topic-level comparison.

No registration is required. An email can be added separately only to recover a participant’s private link.

From a conversation to a shared version

After comparing answers, partners can record what they actually agreed on. AI can help create an editable draft and marks assumptions when the available details are limited.

It is not a legal contract and does not replace a professional. Its value is a shared formulation, visible revision history, and a place to revisit the conversation later.

What we want to learn with users

The product is in beta. We want to understand which wording makes difficult conversations calmer, where navigation remains unclear, and which real-life situations need new questionnaires. Feedback is part of product development, not a decorative form at the bottom of a page.

Educational information for a conversation, not financial, legal, medical, or mental-health advice. Examples are illustrative and do not determine what is right for a particular couple.
